Since 2013 is the centennial anniversary of Grand Central Terminal, I thought it might be a good idea to do some kind of anthology to celebrate this most New York of landmarks.
I thought maybe I'd get three or four stories, tops. Never in my wildest dreams did I think this would be the final result.

I am very proud to have compiled such an incredible collection of stories by some of the finest mystery and crime writers working today. The likes of Matt Hilton, Jen Conley, Ron Fortier, R. Narvaez and many others contributed their own stories to this anthology: GRAND CENTRAL NOIR. It is currently available on Amazon.com for download on Kindle devices and Kindle apps for $2.99.

It is important to note that EVERY SINGLE PENNY of the money from this anthology goes directly to a wonderful charity here in New York called God's Love We Deliver. The mission of this charity is to "improve the health and well-being of men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other serious illnesses by alleviating hunger and malnutrition. We prepare and deliver nutritious, high-quality meals to people who, because of their illness, are unable to provide or prepare meals for themselves. We also provide illness-specific nutrition education and counseling to our clients, families, care providers and other service organizations.
All of our services are provided free of charge without regard to income."

All of us who dedicated our energies and talents to GRAND CENTRAL NOIR not only encourage you to buy this book, but to also contribute to this most worthy organization. With your help, the employees and volunteers of God's Love We Deliver will be able to provide such important services for many years to come. Please click here and donate generously.

SLOW BURN is Published!

I am proud to announce that SLOW BURN has been published by Noir Nation Books. Although it features Charlie Doherty, the corrupt detective from PROHIBITION and FIGHT CARD: AGAINST THE ROPES, it is its own, stand alone tale. Here it the description of the book from my publisher:

NEW YORK CITY - August 1932

Caught between the Great Depression and a massive heatwave, New York is a city on the edge. Businesses close up shop, breadlines grow longer and riots are almost a daily occurrence.

But when corrupt NYPD Detective Charlie Doherty is assigned to investigate a dead body in a flophouse, he knows there's more here than meets the eye.

He quickly discovers that the girl's death is tied to one of the most powerful families in New York, and a kidnapping case that could tear the city apart. In a chase that takes Doherty from the mansions of Fifth Avenue to the slums of the Lower East Side all the way to City Hall itself, Doherty is in a race against time to find the people responsible for putting his city on a SLOW BURN.

Shotgun Honey Interviews Me in 'How'd You Get The Gun?'

Since I've started following the noir/pulp/hardboiled scene for a couple of years now, I'd always hoped that one day I'd have a story run on Shotgun Honey. I never dreamed that I'd not only have a story on the site, but an interview as well! Some of the best writers in the business have been featured there and I'm humbled to be part of it. (I know I've been using words like 'humbled' and 'honored' a lot this past year, but it's been true in every case.

Anyway, click on the pretty lady on the left if you want to read my latest interview. And once again, thanks to Ron Earl Phillips for his generosity.

Shotgun Honey runs The Careful Hunter (A Quinn Short Story)

I was happy that the good folks over at Shotgun Honey not only agreed to run my very short story The Careful Hunter, but also wanted to interview me for their website.

I'm always looking for new ways to challenge myself as a writer and this site afforded me that opportunity. 700 words doesn't sound like a lot because it isn't. But it sure felt great to not only write a story, but have them accept it.

Please click on their snazzy logo to see Terry Quinn go back to work in The Careful Hunter.

Special thanks to Ron Earl Phillips for his kindness in making all of this happen.
